The gazebo itself is nearly all that’s familiar in this photograph from 1925. The snowy scene around it looks like a wooded winterscape. Indeed, it would be three years before Albert Emanuel Hall would be built next door, and 46 years before Roesch Library would stand alongside it. As it was then, the gazebo remains a quiet place from which to enjoy every season.
