Time lapse: Autumn is in the air
You can smell autumn in the air in this aerial photo of a football game from the 1940s. The image, captured by Mayfield Photos, shows the athletics stadium now known as Baujan Field, named so in December 1961 after longtime coach and athletics director Harry Baujan. The current Flyers football team got fall rolling on campus as they took to Welcome Stadium Sept. 11 for a 17–10 win over Eastern Illinois after a pandemic-year hiatus.
