Important Update
Deadline Extended
The University of Dayton has extended the deadline for first-year undergraduate students to confirm their enrollment to June 1. The change supports families navigating the new FAFSA.

The University began sending financial aid offers in April, and we’re working diligently to get aid offers to all admitted students as quickly as possible. We expect to send a majority of aid offers — thousands — over the next week. Students will receive an email when their personalized financial aid offer is available in their Admission Account, and the printed offer will follow in the mail.
Our team is here to support Flyer families with extended availability for virtual appointments through May. If students have questions about financial aid or next steps, they can schedule a virtual appointment with their admission counselor.
Our next class of Flyers will take flight before we know it! We are encouraging students to confirm enrollment as soon as possible so they can have more time to complete the important next steps that are available after they confirm. Having more time can help alleviate anxiety and provide more opportunities to ask questions so they feel confident in their decisions. The following items are available for students who have confirmed enrollment:
- Submit the Housing and Meal Plan
- Register for New Student Orientation.
- Complete the Family Profile Form by the preferred deadline of May 15.
- Submit course preferences, available starting May 21.
- Complete the Health Requirement Form by June 30.
Confirmed students should continue checking Porches for important updates throughout the summer.
We’re excited to help new students get ready for life at UD. During New Student Orientation — which is required for all new students — students and their guests will spend the day connecting with other Flyers, faculty and staff as they explore campus resources, academic advising, campus housing and much more.
96% of our Fall 2023 first-year students said they felt more confident in their decision to choose UD after attending orientation.
Do you have students who are eager to engage with the UD community before fall classes start? Our summer programs offer confirmed students enriching experiences on campus with other future Flyers.
- Multi-Ethnic STEM Summer Bridge Program, July 13-19, offers STEM students a head start on their first semester at UD. Register during orientation sign-up.
- Callings, Aug. 11-16, is a Campus Ministry program that guides students in exploring faith and vocation while learning about the four principles of learn, lead, serve and pray.
- Camp Blue, Aug. 11-15, offers a high-energy, action-packed week focused on leadership. Registration opens July 10 at 1 p.m. EDT.
- MECPrO, Aug. 14-16, is a family welcome program sponsored by our Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC). Registration opens June 3.
While some programs are focused toward specific ethnicities, please know that participants are welcome to attend any opportunity.
If you have students coming to UD, please submit final high school transcripts and AP test scores, if applicable, to the University of Dayton by August 1.
