Lighting Our Path

Being Flyers, it’s in our nature to rise to unprecedented heights. And it’s the commitment of our leaders that keeps us on course.

Initiatives

Research

Whether we're creating technology to quickly detect COVID-19 or conducting research that supports NASA's Perseverance rover and future deep-space missions, we work in the space between inspiration and impact – and bring great ideas to life.

Sustainability

To build a greener world, we're a charter participant in the STARS system, where we earned a gold rating for our sustainability efforts. Our Hanley Sustainability Institute also develops transdisciplinary projects that make a positive impact on campus — and in the community.

Human Rights Center

The Human Rights Center creates change through research, education and dialogue. We search for transformative solutions to patterns of injustice that will bring about real change in the lives of the poor.

Partnerships

To help solve real-world problems and spur innovation, we work side-by-side with hundreds of industry partners. Two of them — GE Aviation and Emerson — established major research and development centers on the University’s campus.
