Jana is known for being refreshingly authentic, not denying the hard realities of life but embracing the chaos with a sense of peace. Jana is a Professor and Department Chairperson in Religious Studies. She has been the advocate for so many individuals – no matter their level within the department. In the department newsletter, she always begins with a Note from the Chair. These notes always stress the importance of us as full persons. Dr. Bennett is the best representative of a person who takes a holistic approach to her own life and the lives of others. Jana was pinned by 2020 Women of UD honoree, Neomi DeAnda.
