Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic has the potential to deepen already entrenched inequalities for many people, the UD Men for Gender Equity Initiative, guided by the Womens’ Advisory Council in partnership with men's Equity Advocates, is committed to sustaining initiatives related to gender equity, diversity, and campus climate. We believe that such efforts are especially important as work priorities, responsibilities, and schedules shift sharply and often, with students, staff, and faculty managing significant changes in the face of persistent uncertainty. Indeed, attention to diversity and inclusive excellence plays a critical role in mitigating such uncertainties.

We plan to continue our work through a number of ways. In addition to providing resources for individuals to read and review on their own, we plan to offer online gatherings to build community and explore how this new reality is affecting us.

An online Isidore module has been developed to allow our campus community to deepen their understanding of gender equity. To be added to the site, contact us at UDMenforGenderEquity@udayton.edu

We recognize that not all people identify as "man" or "woman", so if you identify outside of the gender binary, please know that you are welcome to attend whichever sessions best connect to your identity and/or lived experience.
