HERS Institute

The Higher Education Resource Services Institute (HERS) is a nationally recognized leadership workshop that seeks to elevate women in higher education. Founded in 1976, the HERS Institute has trained over 5,000 women faculty and staff across the U.S. in intensive residential leadership and management development through their twelve-day programs.

HERS is dedicated to creating and sustaining a community of women leaders. The HERS Institute and the University of Dayton share common visions. Both are dedicated to the advancement of women in higher education, gender equity and increasing diversity in the workplace. Throughout the workshop, women learn skills to utilize in advancing their professional careers.

The Women’s Center and the Office of the Provost coordinates the recruitment, application, and nomination process of faculty and staff interested in attending the HERS Institute.
