Special Interest Houses

The Women’s Center sponsors Special Interest Housing for students who are interested in learning how gender impacts and intersects with our daily lives. Guided by our mission, students have the opportunity to host events in the campus community and lead discussions with their peers to promote social justice and gender equity.

Expectations for Women’s Center Special Interest Housing are as follows:

• Participate in one Women’s Center led initiative or service project per semester
• Create and execute one project/event per semester
• Participate in monthly check-in meetings with the Graduate Assistant
• Promote Women’s Center events on social media
• Create and display one sheet sign for Women’s Center events per semester
• Participate in Women’s Center tabling events as necessary
• Other expectations as seen fit
