Hannah’s Treasure Chest

Hannah’s Treasure Chest

The Women’s Center is a partner with Hannah’s Treasure Chest, a nonprofit organization which provides new and gently used children’s items to families in the Miami Valley.

While many families are fortunate enough to provide for their children, many parents and guardians struggle without sufficient resources. Hannah’s Treasure Chest responds to these needs by providing agencies and organizations like the Women’s Center with clothing, furniture, toys, books, and other essential items for their constituents.

How It Works

Please contact us at caregiving@udayton.edu or (937) 229-5390 to set up an appointment. We will guide you through the application, asking questions about your needs in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We submit this application to Hannah's Treasure Chest and we notify you when it is filled and coordinate a pickup time and location.  Typically appointments take place in Alumni Hall or in Fitz Hall. We have visual guides to assist in the application process if language is a barrier. It is really helpful to have an idea about height, weight and clothing size of the children who are being supported through the application prior to the appointment.

Who Can Benefit

Any UD student or staff member, including our Alpha and Omega partners, with children or dependents under the age of 18 can take advantage of this service. Email the Women's Center at caregiving@udayton.edu for more information and to request items from Hannah’s Treasure Chest.

How You Can Help

Help us spread the word about this great resource! Let those who would benefit from receiving items from Hannah's Treasure Chest know that the Women’s Center is a partner and can request items for the family.

Hannah’s accepts donations of baby, toddler and children’s items from their Amazon wishlist and from parents whose own children have grown out of them, provided they are in excellent condition.
