UDRI COVID-19 Response Measures

March 24, 2020

To our Customers and Partners:

As you are aware, governments and organizations are taking extraordinary measures in order to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and reduce risk to the public health, and Ohio is now under a shelter-in-place order through April 6. As an educational institution performing “critical research or essential functions,” UDRI falls into the category of “Essential Businesses and Operations” that are encouraged to remain open. In order to balance the needs of our customers with the health and welfare of our employees, and comply with Ohio guidelines, we have expanded the risk-reduction measures already put in place by the University of Dayton and its Research Institute:

All business-related international travel has been suspended. Travel is also being highly restricted within the United States, depending on current risk levels at planned destinations;

Employees who are fully equipped to perform all necessary duties remotely are working from home; and

We have put in place social-distancing and other risk-reduction measures, including enhanced cleaning and sanitizing, for employees and visitors whose work requires them to be in a UDRI workspace.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation globally and locally and make changes to response measures as needed, keeping you apprised of any significant updates. While we do not know how long these measures will be in place, we are dedicated to fulfilling our business commitments to you. Please let us know if you have concerns or questions about how we can best support your needs.
