UDRI’s Air Vehicle Optimization researchers provide design, testing, analysis, modeling and simulation (M&S), systems engineering, and operations research support to both external and internal customers. We specialize in aerodynamics, experimental and computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer, adaptive and reconfigurable systems and structures, morphing micro air vehicles (MAVs), flight loads, low cost attritable aircraft technology (LCAAT), multidisciplinary designs, operations research, and systems engineering.

Our customers include the Aerospace Vehicles Division (AFRL/RQV) and Turbine Engine Division (AFRL/RQT) of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Aerospace Systems Directorate.
