Early testing is working

University leaders sent a message this week to students about UD’s early testing program. Early testing and contact tracing has worked well to identify individuals who have the virus but may not know it. Students were reminded to be vigilant about avoiding groups larger than 10, wearing face coverings and remembering that physical distancing and mask wearing apply by law to areas off campus as well. You can monitor the campus status and confirmed COVID-19 cases on the University’s website.

Students can check out 1850 for a list of both online and in-person activities and events happening around campus. 

Fall 2020 virtual career fair week

To ensure the safety of the campus community, Career Services has transitioned the fall career and internship fair to a virtual format. Instead of a one-day fair, Career Services will be hosting four industry-based virtual career fairs Sept. 14-17. New Campus Recreation offerings now live

UD Campus Recreation is excited to offer new opportunities for the semester! Students and members can now reserve RECBikes, utilize the rockwall, enjoy the outdoors at Old River Park, try out a group fitness class during Free Group Fitness Week (August 17-22), and participate in intramural competition! All programming requires an advance reservation, which can be made at activeflyers.udayton.edu. For more information, visit go.udayton.edu/campusrec

Counseling Center Anxiety Toolbox Seminar

The Anxiety Toolbox Seminar (ATS) could be both helpful and fun. ATS consists of three, one-hour meetings designed to educate and offer strategies for increased effective coping of stress and anxiety. The ATS is not a therapy or a support group; it is a class to help those struggling with anxiety understand it better and gain skills for coping. ATS is currently offered via Zoom.
