THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Free flu shots at Student Health Center, on-campus clinics
The University is offering free flu vaccines to all students at the Student Health Center and during scheduled clinics through the end of October. Students can get a flu shot during a routine Health Center visit or call to schedule a visit specifically for  the vaccine. Flu shots also will be available on the following dates:

  • Sept. 30: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Health Center. 
  • Oct. 6: noon-2 p.m. between Humanities Plaza and Kennedy Union (weather permitting)
  • Oct. 20: noon-2 p.m. between Humanities Plaza and Kennedy Union (weather permitting)
  • Oct. 26: noon-2 p.m. between Humanities Plaza and Kennedy Union (weather permitting)
  • Oct. 28: noon-3 p.m. Well-o-ween event, McGinnis Room, Adele Center 

Education abroad

Join the Global and Intercultural Affairs (GIA) Center in Kennedy Union ballroom 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, to explore study abroad opportunities. Whether it’s for a week, a year, or anywhere in between — there is a program for you. Meet with faculty, semester programs, third-party providers and others to discover a world of possibilities.

Feast of St. Francis events

Campus Ministry will host two events Tuesday, Oct. 4, in honor of the Feast of St. Francis. The Blessing of the Animals prayer service is 8 p.m. at Serenity Pines outside of Marycrest Hall. All pets and service/emotional support animals are welcome; if you don't have a pet on campus, feel free to bring a photo. At 9 p.m. in Liberty Hall 08, join Eco-Spirituality: Behold God in Everything, a discussion exploring the call as disciples to care for creation.

NEWS AND NOTES

Dialogue in the Classroom workshop series

From 2-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, UD students, faculty and staff are invited to the first of three Dialogue Zone workshops to help instructors strengthen their skills designing and facilitating dialogue in their classrooms, training programs or other educational spaces. The other two sessions are Oct. 18 and Nov. 15. Register here to attend.

Consumer information notice

As a requirement for federal Title IV funding, the University must provide an annual notification of consumer information to students and employees. You can find the University’s consumer information webpage here, which details financial assistance, health and safety, student outcomes and other general institutional information.
