THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Enjoy your mini-break day with One Day, One Dayton activities Wednesday, April 14

Check out a variety of food trucks and enjoy free Sweet P’s Ice Pops from 1-4 p.m. (while supplies last) and watch the elimination-style kickball tournament, sponsored by Campus Rec and the Residential Housing Association. Check 1850 for details

Test your knowledge against other fellow Flyers with a fun trivia contest at 7:30 p.m. hosted by CAB. Questions will range from UD facts to pop culture featuring a few surprise guests. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each round. Register here

Register for the ultimate kickball tournament

Do you think you have what it takes to win the title of best team at UD? Sign up now for this one-day kickball tournament Wednesday, April 14, to face members of your fellow residential district or class (Marycrest, Irving, Lowes, Adele, etc.). Teams consist of seven players; prizes for the top four places. Registration is open through 11:59 p.m. April 9.

Academic Advising Reminders

The last day to drop a class with a "W" is Tuesday, April 13. Students need to speak with their academic advisor and instructor. Summer and fall course registration has begun; students need to speak with their advisors to obtain their Alternate Pin/Advisor Approval Code. Students should check to see if they have any holds using the following steps: Porches>>Flyer Student Services>>Registration>>View Holds.

Register for the 5K Run/Walk for Student Success

Register to run or walk the One Day, One Dayton 5K April 10-14 and 100% of your gift will go to the UD Fund to support the success of students through scholarships, emergency aid, and additional mental, physical and spiritual health opportunities. Gifts of $60 or more will receive a 1D1D T-shirt. Registration closes tomorrow at 11:59 p.m.

Celebrate libraries

Celebrate Roesch Library's 50 years on campus and National Library Week with sweets, songs and the success that comes from making the most of the resources, spaces and services in the University Libraries. Learn more here.

Hangar bowling league and tournament
Don’t forget to sign up for the semester-long bowling tournament at the Hangar. Games take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays with teams of up to four players. During the final session Sunday, April 18, all teams will have an opportunity to compete in a single-elimination tournament for a grand prize. Register for the tournament here.

Art and Design senior exhibition
Faculty, staff and students are invited to view the UD Department of Art and Design's senior exhibition, One Last Time, in a virtual reality format. The show title pays tribute to Jill Parker, a member of the 2021 graduating class who died earlier this academic year. One Last Time features her work along with pieces from other graduating seniors. Ramadan

Monday, April 12, marks the start of Ramadan, which continues until May 11. Ramadan is observed by Muslims around the world by increased devotion and self-discipline and is honored as the most sacred month of the year. During each day of Ramadan, Muslims fast from food and drink from sunrise to sunset; it's a time for cleansing the soul and strengthening spiritual bonds. Find out more about Ramadan here.
