If you haven't already, use our online Transfer Credit Evaluation to instantly receive a credit audit that tells you how any prior-earned college credits (through dual enrollment or exams) will apply to your degree. It may be helpful to save a PDF of your results that you can access from your phone, or bring a printed copy to orientation.

This will help our orientation team ensure you're placed in the appropriate orientation sessions and academic advisors can be prepared to assist you during course registration. This helps to ensure a smooth experience and avoid confusion on a busy and information-filled orientation day!

  • Address: Our campus is located at 300 College Park Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Once you arrive on campus, follow the directions below to locate C Lot, where you’ll park for the day.
  • Please plan for additional travel time, as various events are taking place on and around campus, in addition to ongoing construction on Interstate 75, which may result in delays.
  • Parking in Lot CFrom the intersection of Brown Street and East Stewart Street, head south on Brown Street to Irving Avenue. Turn left onto Irving Avenue. Turn left at Evanston Avenue and follow orientation signage to C Lot, which will be on the left just past the RecPlex and across from Marianist Hall. Stop at the Visitor and Parking Information Center at the entrance to C Lot to receive your parking pass.

  • Be sure you know your UD username and password (the credentials you use to log in to Porches). You'll need this information in order to log in to a device on campus to register for courses. Devices will be provided — you do not need to bring a laptop or device to register.
  • Refillable water bottle: In an effort to be sustainable, we encourage students and guests to bring a refillable water bottle so they can utilize refill stations around campus.
  • Comfortable shoes: During orientation you'll travel to several buildings and have the option to tour campus and residence halls. While our campus is compact and very walkable, we encourage you to plan ahead and wear comfortable shoes.
  • Dress in layers: Ohio weather can be unpredictable. In the summer heat, it can feel even more cold indoors with air conditioning. With the fluctuations of temperatures, consider dressing in layers for your comfort.
  • Notebook or device for note taking: Prepare for information overload! You're going to learn a lot during orientation, and while we make every effort to break down information into memorable and bite-size pieces, you're going to want to take notes so you can reference the information later. Rest assured, most of the information presented will be available after orientation in the Navigating Your Transition online course on Canvas. Students will get access to this course in the days after your orientation session.

At orientation you'll have the opportunity to connect with the following campus partners during sessions, breakouts and during breaks to ask questions:
