Panhellenic Sororities

Joining a Panhellenic Sorority at UD!

As a student interested in joining a Greek-letter organization, it is an exciting time to consider what is important to you as you seek an authentic sense of belonging.  Recruitment events will offer you the opportunity to get to know active student members in each UD organization and ask mutually beneficial questions about a lifelong commitment to supporting fraternal values.

At the University of Dayton, the College Panhellenic Council (CPC) holds deferred Formal Recruitment each year at the beginning of the spring semester in January. Our chapters also participate in an  informal recruitment process known as Continuous Open Bidding or COB.

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life requires that all prospective members meet the following criteria:

All University of Dayton students must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible to receive a bid and become initiated into a fraternity or sorority:
*have completed at least one semester of college (12 credit hours from any college - CCP and hours completed in HS do not apply)
*be enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Dayton (at least a 12-credit course load during the semester you join)
*be in good disciplinary standing with the University
*have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25. (Transfer students without a UD cumulative GPA must submit a copy of their transcript from the institution where credits were earned, reflecting they have met the 2.25 GPA requirement prior to receiving a bid/invitation from a chapter.)

*All students wishing to participate in any student organization must have completed the Hazing Prevention Module distributed by the University of Dayton. You will not be eligible for recruitment if you do not take this training. Please visit go.udayton.edu/hazingprevention to learn more.
*abide by all University and Council recruitment rules and policies

Panhellenic Primary Recruitment will take place January 25th-29th, 2024.

Chapters also have the ability to accept new members through an ongoing open bidding process. Chapters are responsible for managing the COB process on their own and making connections with interested students directly.

COB registration for the fall semester is CLOSED.
