New Student Housing
First-year students can apply for housing at porches.udayton.edu. Review the terms and conditions of the housing contract at resources. For move-in and orientation information, visit Student Transitions and Family Programs.
- All incoming students are assigned to live in housing with their peer group members.
- After submitting an enrollment confirmation, incoming students can complete the Housing & Meal Plan form in Porches. You can then enter our highly successful roommate match that considers personal habits and preferences, or you can create a roommate group to request a specific roommate. Housing is guaranteed and assigned, in each hall, regardless of the date the housing and meal plan form is completed.
Residential Facilities
The University offers graduate housing in 3 (three) facilities with options for single-occupancy studio and one-bedroom apartments or shared two-person two-bedroom apartments.
Applications for new residents open in early April and can be found in the MyHousing student housing portal.
Residential Facilities
Transfer students may apply for housing once they have confirmed their attendance at UD.
Most transfer students will elect to participate in our summer assignment process. Still, if confirmed before March 1 (for the fall semester), transfer students are welcome to participate in our returning student housing selection. Students electing this option are encouraged to contact the Housing and Residence Life office to discuss their application.
The regular incoming transfer student application opens in early April and is available via your MyHousing student housing portal. Assignments are made over the summer months and incoming transfer students have the opportunity to select their specific housing assignment.
For move-in and orientation information, visit Student Transitions and Family Programs.
