The University of Dayton is collaborating with Premier Health on setting up a collection site in the UD Arena parking lot beginning Tuesday, March 17, to collect specimens from patients who have a physician order with them for a COVID-19 test to be performed.

To reduce traffic congestion, we ask you to avoid the area around the Arena unless it is necessary for you to be there. Hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Patients MUST have a physician order with them or via electronic order for a COVID-19 test to be performed and for a specimen to be collected. Premier Health emphasized that to ensure an orderly process, it is vitally important that those who suspect they might have COVID-19 first contact their family care provider and work with their provider’s office to see if they meet certain CDC criteria before they come to the collection site. If individuals do not have a physician’s order, they will not be screened.

As an anchor institution in the region, and in the Catholic, Marianist tradition of helping the community in times of need, the University of Dayton is proud to assist Premier Health in this important initiative during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
