Crisis Intervention
If you are in an immediate and life-threatening mental health crisis, call Public Safety at 937-229-2121 if you are on campus, call 911 if you are off campus, or present to the nearest emergency room.
If you are in a non-life-threatening mental health crisis, call the Counseling Center at 937-229-3141 for crisis intervention from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A therapist is assigned to provide crisis intervention during specific hours daily. We can generally return calls by the end of the business day.

If you are in a mental health crisis after our regular business hours or during a University holiday or weekend, and you cannot wait until business hours to see someone at the Counseling Center, please do one of the following:
- Call the Counseling Center at 937-229-3141 and press option "2" to speak with an on-call therapist.
- You may also call Public Safety at 937-229-3141, call 911, or contact one of the numbers listed in "Additional Resources" below.
- Go to the nearest emergency room for evaluation and support.
