If you or someone you know are in crisis
During Business Hours
If you are in an immediate and life-threatening psychological crisis, please call Public Safety (937-229-2121), 911 or present to the nearest emergency room.
If you find yourself in a non-life-threatening psychological crisis, you may call the Counseling Center (937-229-3141) for crisis intervention during our business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is a therapist assigned to provide crisis intervention during specific hours on a daily basis. We are generally able to return calls by the end of the business day.
If the situation is so critical that it cannot wait until a therapist is able to call you back, please do one or more of the following:
- Call Public Safety at 937-229-2121
- Call 911
- Go to the nearest emergency room
- Call Crisis Care at 937-224-4646

After Business Hours, and on Weekends
If you are in a psychological crisis after our regular business hours on weekdays, anytime during a University holiday or weekend, that cannot wait until business hours, do one or more of the following:
- Call Public Safety at 937-229-2121, ask for the therapist on-call
- Call 911
- Go to the nearest emergency room
- Call Crisis Care at 937-224-4646
