All Personal Trainers are certified by a nationally accredited program. They are also Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. Each exercise prescription will be developed to the needs, desires and goals of the client. Clients will have the choice of training frequency and location (private fitness studio, Stuart Field, RecPlex Fitness Center, etc.).

This program does not involve session or duration contracts of any kind. Once a personal trainer is assigned to a client, they will schedule a fitness assessment and consultation. During the consultation, the client(s) will complete health history forms for medical clearance.

To participate in Campus Recreation Personal Training, each participant must complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and General Health Screening. After completing these forms, a Physicians Clearance to participate in an exercise program may be requested by the trainer. A form will be provided to you that can be completed by your physician.  The completed Physicians Clearance will need to be received before any physical exercise lead by Campus Recreation staff can occur.
