Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons
Just for fun, or with competition in mind, our swim instructors will help you reach your goals. Age and ability make no difference; it is never too late to learn how to swim or to refine one’s skills! UDCR offers 30-minute, 1-on-1 lessons for all ages or 45-minute small group lessons for ages 3-13!
Swim Lesson Pricing and Policies
Private lessons are an opportunity to have 30-minute, one-on-one instruction that guides the participant to their goals. Each lesson is developed around the strengths and needs of the participant to meet them at their level. Lessons can follow UDCR's swim lesson level objectives or assist in reaching the specific goals of the participant.

A permit is required to park in UD lots prior to 7:30pm on weekdays. UDCR sells 30-day parking permits for $30. More than one permit may be needed per session. This permit allows access to lots S2 or C. No permit is needed in the “visitors” C Lot after 7:30pm on weekdays or weekends. In the best interest of your child, the University of Dayton has established the following minors policy. Please click here to review our Minors Policy before registering for any preskills or lifeguard course.
Swim lessons do not allow for flexible scheduling. Classes take place on the dates and times on which they are scheduled. Participants may not mix and match dates from various sessions. We encourage attendance and participation at all lessons within the session. UDCR does not offer make-up lessons for missed swim lessons.
The Aquatic Center is available for open swim only to those who are current members of UD Campus Recreation. The same policy stands for the RecPlex as a whole.
All swimming lessons purchased are purchased for the registrant and are non-transferable to another person.
Your appreciation and gratitude is always welcomed, though gifts and/or tips are not. Smiles, thank you notes, or art created by your child are the best choices to show your thanks for our instructors!
