Old River Park
Old River Park
Old River Park (ORP) offers a 1.5-mile scenic lagoon, fishing, walking paths, open green space, and a historic pavilion and bandstand. The 48-acre park is a Dayton landmark that provides students, faculty, staff, and their guest a space to learn, reflect, recreate, and connect with nature and all of its benefits, as well as develop recreation skills and engage in social fellowship.
**Old River Park is not currently available for reservation, usage, or programming. Any new requests at this time will be denied. Humanities Plaza, Heritage Center, the LTC Patio, and KU Mall are recommended options to pursue for your outdoor gatherings. Please check back regarding future use.**
Paddle in the Park
Grab a boat of your choice - kayak, canoe, or paddleboard - and join us for a scenic, one mile paddle in the moat around Curran Place! Registration is open in the fall and spring on activeflyers.udayton.edu, and will guarantee a boat for the allotted time you sign up for. While registration is encouraged, walk-ins are welcome at the boat house any time.
