Meet the Co-Pilots

TJ Brunello (she/her/hers)

Mechanical Engineering, Dance minor

Sophomore

Dayton, OH

I am involved in the UD dance team, UD dance ensemble, Rocky horror, as well as the robotics club on campus. I love dancing as it is a healthy way for me to express myself and let go of emotions. When I am not dancing I am at the gym with friends, watching movies, and constantly listening to music. I joined Co-Pilots because I wanted a place to help others that struggle with anxiety and stress like I do. I wanted to help create a place where others can feel safe to grow and feel encouraged to do so. I am very passionate about helping others and becoming a peer educator is an amazing way to do so!

Gabby Davis (she/her/hers)

Communications Major with a PR concentration and a minor in Marketing

Sophomore

Centerville, OH

I’m in Flyer PR, lead worship at church, and songwriter. I love sleeping, discovering new restaurants, and making playlists. I joined Co-Pilots because I believe it is very important and crucial on college campuses to have people who can come alongside you, support you, and advocate for you. Co-Pilots is just another one of those ways to ensure all students on campus feel supported and cared for in terms of their holistic well-being.

Julia Fabian (she/her/hers)

Psychology major with minors in Diability Studies and Social Work

Senior

Avon, OH

Outside of Co-Pilots, I am also involved in research in the Psychology Department and on the executive board of UD Miracle. I love reading, spending time with my friends and family, and going on walks! I joined Co-Pilots two years ago and it has been such an amazing experience! I have always been passionate about wellbeing and empowering individuals to make changes that will lead to long-term success. I also love the people I’ve met and the change I have been able to be a part of on campus!

Karoline Harshbarger (she/her/hers)

Psychology with minors in Family Development & Social Work

Senior

Centerville, OH

Besides Co-Pilots, I work at the Brook Center, I am the president of Psi Chi, and I am in a psychology research lab studying resilience and stress on campus. Off-campus, I volunteer at Dayton Children’s Hospital and dog sit. In my free time, I love to read and spend time with my friends. I joined Co-Pilots because I am passionate about mental health and wellbeing. Prioritizing these topics can be difficult alone, so I hope to help my peers realize their potential and grow toward their goals!

Mia Huckleberry (she/her/hers)

Co-Pilot Liaison

Psychology, Biology and Sociology minors

Senior

Cincinnati, OH

Hi! My name is Mia and I am one of the Co-Pilot Liaisons! My other involvements besides Co-Pilots includes being a Student Leader within the Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center community, being on the executive board for the service organization Women of Remarkable Distinction, being a Student Staff Member at the Brook Center, and I am involved in MEC affiliated organizations such as Black Action Through Unity, FOLX, and EOL. In my free time I like to explore music (my favorite genres are alternative r&b and alternative rap), play video games, and learn more about mental health! I joined the Co-Pilots because I want to be able to give back and help the community of UD. To be able to create a comfortable space where holistic wellbeing, mental health and well-being goals in general can be discussed is something that I am passionate about!

Ainsley Keyes

Discover Arts

Sophomore

Cincinatti, OH

HI! My name is Ainsley Keyes and some things about me are I am a big reader, I love going to the rodeo and working on my family farm, and I adore dogs, especially golden retrievers. I joined Co- Pilots because I am passionate about spreading awareness on mental health topics. It can be easy to undermine certain experiences that people have if you do not experience them yourself, so I think the best thing to do is to learn!

Claire Miller

Health Sciences with a concentration in Integrative Physiology

Junior

Neuroscience and Psychology

I am a second year from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I am involved in the University Honor’s Program and ASL club. When I’m not studying or doing homework, you’ll most often find me reading, listening to music, watching TV, or studying some language. One song I can vibe with no matter how many times I play it is Matsuri by Fujii Kaze. Why I joined Co-Pilots: I want to make a change in the UD community and be a resource for those who are ready to make a change. Through participating in events and programs and by facilitating conversation, I also hope to break the stigma of talking about mental and emotional health and let others know that it’s okay to not be okay and that there will always be someone who is there for them.

Dhana Misquitta (she/her/hers)

Psychology

Sophomore

Pittsburgh, PA
I am involved in a couple other organizations on campus including the Asian
American Association and sustainability club. I love working out, listening to music, and
hanging out with my friends. I joined copilots because I want to be a helpful resource for others and being a part of copilots allows me to meet people who share this same interest as me. I enjoy talking things out with my peers and I believe working together as a team is fun and helpful.

Deja Richardson (she/her/hers)

Psychology with minors in Family Development and Disability Studies

Senior

Hillside, IL

I like to read, play the Sims, watch new shows, and try new foods.  Some things I am also involved in are College Mentors for Kids, Black Action Through Unity (BATU), and Women of Remarkable Distinction (WORD). I joined Co-Pilots to have the opportunity to give back to my community by educating myself and my peers about holistic wellness. I am excited to work with my fellow Co-Pilots who also have a passion for helping UD students reach their full potential.

Kathleen Schreel (she/her/hers)

Premedicine and Sociology

Senior

Kettering, OH

Outside of Co-Pilots, I am involved as a chair for AED, the pre-health honors society. I also work for the Center for Student Involvement in KU and you’ll find me crocheting, watching Netflix, and online shopping in my free time (it’s bad). My future career path is as a Physician Assistant (PA). Why did I join Co-Pilots: After personally struggling with anxiety and depression, I hope to create a safe and welcoming space for students on campus to talk about their personal mental health and wellbeing challenges.

Veronica Vasko (she/her/hers)

Psychology

Senior

Some other things that I am a part of on campus, besides Co-pilots, are Club Dance,
Women in Business, a research assistantship, and a part of the Math Help Center as a tutor and Teacher Assistant. Dance is a healthy way for me to destress when I am
feeling overwhelmed and build stronger relationships with those who share the same
love for dance as me. I also enjoy singing, playing the piano, hanging out with friends, and going to the gym during my free time as ways to promote my wellbeing both
mentally and physically.

Kate Weber (she/her/hers)

Psychology with a minor in Communications

Sophomore

Cleveland

Some of my favorite things consist of journaling, exercising, reading, being outside, and
being with my friends and family. I joined co-pilots in order to collaborate and build connections with others. Helping people deal with the stresses of college and everyday life is so fulfilling. This organization gives me the opportunity to do that!

Oliver Zimmerman (he/him/his)

Psychology

Sophomore

Mason, Ohio

Hi! I am Oliver and I'm a second year here at UD. When I'm not in classes I enjoy reading, spending quality time with friends, visiting the recplex, and harassing my roommate. Outside of Copilots, I am involved in Catholic Life, and Research on campus. I love coffee, health and fitness, cooking, and hiking. I joined Co-Pilots because I wanted an opportunity to grow and develop skills and its teachings aligned greatly with my views on health and wellbeing so I felt passionate about the program.

Brianna Comstock (she/her/hers)

Psychology

Communications major, marketing minor

Senior

Clarendon Hills, IL

This semester will be my sixth semester with Co-Pilots. I joined in the spring of my first year, and it was actually the first student organization that I really got involved with. In the spring of my second year I assumed the position of liaison and have loved filling this role ever since. I joined Co-Pilots because I am passionate about health and well-being. I grew up swimming and have always loved being active in any way I can. At the same time, I wanted to create an outlet for students who are struggling to adjust to college life, feel comfortable on campus, or to make friends. I have also seen how prevalent diet culture can be on college campuses, and want to encourage my peers to make healthy choices that make them feel good, rather than just succumbing to what society tells them to do. Aside from Co-Pilots, I am also a campus tour guide, an emissary for Dr. Spina, and am a member of the communications bachelors plus masters program.

Ella Donnelly

Psychology and Women's & Gender Studies

Senior

Grand Rapids, MI

Outside of Copilots, I am also involved in the Dive Club, PREVENTS-OH, and a psychology research lab studying Bias and Self-Esteem. I love reading, swimming, and spending time with my friends and family in my free time. I joined Copilots because I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health issues and spreading awareness to my peers about campus resources. Others must know that they are not alone. I've truly loved being in Copilots and meeting so many amazing people, I look forward to another year of helping UD students reach their full potential
