The Ally+ Workshop

An All New Way to Ally

The Ally program has undergone some changes since you have been away. Take a look at our new branding and come engage in the revamped workshop series.

We strive to build a network of allies who are 'all in' to enhancing the campus and local community's understanding of gender and sexuality.

The Ally+ Workshop

Are You All In?

The mission of the Ally+ Workshop series is to provide relevant information, support, and resources, while building a network of allies who are 'all in' to enhancing the campus and local community’s understanding of gender and sexuality.

Our symbol visibly identifies people and places that are "safe" for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) students, faculty, staff, and community members. It signifies safety, support, trustworthiness, and affirmation—regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. Others will know they can come to you for help, guidance, and conversation in a supportive environment.

The symbol also means that transphobic and heterosexist comments and actions will not be tolerated, but will be addressed in an educational and informative manner. By living the values of our commitment to community, allies invite others into the conversation so that all UD faculty, staff, and students feel valued, heard, and seen.
