The University of Dayton's Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of customer service in accordance with Ohio's Public Records Act (ORC 149.43). YOUR REQUEST IS NEITHER REQUIRED TO BE IN WRITING, NOR IS IT REQUIRED THAT YOUR NAME OR INTENDED USE OF THE REQUESTED RECORD BE DISCLOSED. The information provided on this form is solely to enhance our ability to respond to your request in a timely and reasonable manner.

Your records request will be acknowledged within two business days of its receipt. 

Pursuant to ORC 149.43(B)(1), requests involving body camera footage may be subject to a processing fee. The fee is based on the duration of the processing time required to prepare the requested footage for release and is charged at the rate of $75 per hour, not to exceed $750.

You will be provided with the applicable processing fee within five business days of the acknowledgment of your request. 

Once payment of the applicable processing fee is received, your request will be completed within a reasonable time.
