Below are details for this semester's expanded study space and programming available to students during study days and finals week. They are listed below in a Google calendar and by location.

Please note that all space will be available on a first come, first served basis and advance reservations will not be allowed.

Free Taxi Rides
Offered in conjunction with Roesch Library. Service to student residences will be available from midnight to 6 a.m., Sunday, May 5 to Wednesday, May 8. Vouchers for taxi rides can be picked up at the second-floor services desk in Roesch Library or the information desk in the lobby of Kennedy Union. Pick-up Location: University Circle between Roesch Library and St. Mary’s Hall.

FREE Finals Week Group Fitness Classes
The Recplex will offer FREE, modified Group Fitness Classes Saturday, May 4 through Friday, May 10, including several late-night black light classes! Visit the RecPlex or the Group Fitness page of the website for the outline of classes.

RE ROOM
What if we recharged ourselves as often as we charged our phones? Located in Meeting Room A of the RecPlex, the RE Room will be available 24 hours a day Sunday-Thursday of Finals Week. This space is designed to provide a greater sense of calm and health to body, mind, and spirit. In this space, you can simply rest, breathe, relax, recenter, and recharge from your studies. Resources will be provided to enhance your ability to relax and be mindful. We ask visitors to not bring homework or technology into this space

Stress Less with Outdoor Education
Join Campus Recreation Outdoor Education for a fresh air study break! All programs are free, and pre-registration is encouraged to reserve your spot by contacting the RecPlex Welcome Desk at 937.229.2704. More information can be found on the Outdoor Education website.

  • Paddle @ Old River Park | Saturday, May 4 from 1:00pm-3:00pm, Paddle the one-mile scenic Old River Park lagoon in a kayak or canoe. Check-in at the Outdoor Engagement Center (438 Stonemill Rd.) before 1:00pm.
  • RecBike Ride to Miamisburg | Sunday, May 5 from 1:00pm-3:30pm, Join this leisurely 12 mile group bike ride along the Great Miami Riverway. Shuttles will return participants to Campus once you reach Miamisburg, or extend your workout with a group ride back to Dayton! RecBikes are available for checkout or bring your own. Check-in at the RecPlex Welcome Desk before 1:00pm.
  • Late Night Climb on the Rock Wall | Wednesday, May 8 from 8:00pm-11:00pm, Climbing exercises your mind and body, increasing focus for when you return to your studies! Drop in anytime during the session.

*The Rock Wall and Aquatic Center will be open normal hours.

Starting May 5, students can stop by Room 215 anytime for a study break with coloring pages, word finds and art supplies. A selfie station on the second floor — compliments of "Rent-a-Swag" — features show-themed props for social media with the hashtag #parksandroesch.
