This session is intended for members of the campus community who interact with students, including faculty (including department chairs, adjuncts, lecturers, tenure-track, and tenured) and staff (including advisors, departmental administrative assistants, and Student Development staff).

CAP 101 will provide an overview of CAP, explain its structure, and answer questions you have about CAP. This conversation will be helpful for those individuals who are new to CAP, as well as those who have learned about it but want a refresher.

  • Do you want to know more about the learning that occurs in the foundational components of CAP?
  • Are you curious about how you can build on student learning in foundational CAP components in your own courses and other student learning experiences?

This session is intended for members of the campus community who want to understand what students learn in the foundational CAP components of the Humanities Commons (comprising English, History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies), Communication 100, and Social Science 200, and how other components such as Diversity and Social Justice build upon that foundation.

Join the faculty coordinators for each of these components to learn more about these CAP components and how they provide an essential foundation for our undergraduate students throughout their educational careers. The coordinators will help attendees understand how they can build upon the student learning outcomes in these components in their work with students.

Fall 2021 SESSION:

  • Monday, October 18 (This event has been cancelled.)

Register for CAP 201
Additional one-on-one Zoom appointments with the CAP Office can be scheduled upon request.
