Rubrics

Assessment Rubric Examples

The University Assessment Committee (UAC) has developed rubrics, as has the AAC&U.  Faculty are encouraged to utilize these resources and to adapt these rubrics or to develop four-point scale rubrics which may be applied to student work in their courses.

UAC Rubrics

The University Assessment Committee (UAC) has developed sample individual rubrics for each of the seven University of Dayton Institutional Learning Goals (ILGs).*  You may use or adapt these rubrics for the assessment for student learning in each of these seven areas.

*Prior to the 2017-18 academic year, the seven areas were referred to as Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), as stated in the Habits of Inquiry and Reflection (HIR).
