Resources for Current DS Students

If you are a student already receiving accommodations through the LTC’s Office of Learning Resources (OLR), this information may help you as you navigate the processes associated with receiving accommodations.

Taking Test in the OLR Testing Center

If you have been approved for alternative testing accommodations, please review the OLR's testing information and guidelines.

Accommodation Letters

Your accommodations letters for each class will be available in AIM and can be emailed or printed from there. You must follow these instructions to get your accommodation letters EACH SEMESTER.

Remember, in addition to the Accommodation Letters, you are also responsible for talking with your instructors about your accommodation needs. Failure to communicate with them may result in your accommodations being declined. Accommodations are not retroactive.

  1. Log in to AIM at
  2. Under the My Accommodation heading on the left side of the screen, select List Accommodations.
  3. In the Step: Select Class(es) box, click the checkboxes next to the courses for which you need accommodations.
  4. Click on Step 2.
  5. In the Select Accommodation(s), click the checkboxes to select the accommodations you need in that particular class. If you want to use any testing accommodations such as extended time, make sure to select the Alternative Testing check box.
*You need to do step 5 for EACH class for which you need accommodations.*
  6. To send the accommodation letter to your professor automatically, click the check box next to Select the check box if you would like AIM to email this accommodation letter to your instructor.
  7. After making your selections for each class, click Submit Your Accommodation Requests.
To view your accommodation letters, return to #2 of these instructions. Your letters will be at the bottom of the page for each semester.
