Jack Bauer

Bauer's research examines how people construct meaning in their lives and foster personal growth. He uses philosophy, sociology, neuroscience and world religions to study "What is a good life, and how do we foster it?" He teaches courses in personality and human development. Bauer is an associate editor of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Research in Personality, and is the co-editor of the book Transcending Self-Interest: Psychological Explorations of the Quiet Ego (2008).
