'I’ll Be Home for Christmas on Campus'
The University of Dayton will celebrate its 61st Christmas on Campus Friday, Dec. 6, with more than 1,000 Dayton Public School students paired with undergraduates to enjoy a winter wonderland.
The night includes pictures with Santa, a live Nativity, crafts, model trains, treats and more. It is free and open to the public.
“Christmas on Campus is a time for us to spread joy and connect with our community,” said co-chair Claire Ogburn. “UD’s Catholic and Marianist heritage places an emphasis on community, and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to continue this tradition.”
With the theme “I’ll Be Home for Christmas on Campus," the event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a tree lighting ceremony and continues until 8 p.m.
A Mass celebrating the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will follow at 9:30 p.m. at the UD's Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
Questions about the event can be directed to the Christmas on Campus committee.
