University of Dayton Center for Leadership launches accelerated executive leadership program
The University of Dayton Center for Leadership is launching an accelerated executive leadership group coaching program for senior leaders to learn from each other in 90-minute virtual sessions.
The program starts April 9 with a daylong, in-person session followed by six monthly virtual coaching sessions.
The center will hold a virtual information session 2-3 p.m. Nov. 21, featuring Jackie Insinger; who has been featured in Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur and Fast Company, among others. She wrote Spark Brilliance, a best-seller in eight business categories. Register here or by calling 937-229-3115.
"Senior leaders in our region don't have access to structured, results-driven, research-based programming designed specifically for those wanting to deepen their impact without extensive time commitments," said April Mescher, senior director of strategic partnerships and marketing at the Center for Leadership. "These sessions will offer strategies integrating the latest research in leadership, positive psychology, and neuroscience."
The program will focus on soft skills, like communication and emotional intelligence, which are the foundation of authentic, high-impact leadership, according to Mescher; and how they affect a company's bottom line.
"Technical skills alone aren't enough to lead effectively in today's dynamic work environment," said Madeline Weiler, the center's senior associate director of leadership programs.
This new certificate program supplements the center's existing one-day executive development programs offered six to eight times a year.
