New May 15 deadline to confirm enrollment

The University of Dayton has extended the May 1 deadline for first-year students to confirm their enrollment to May 15.

The change supports families in light of the federal delays related to the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It gives them more time to evaluate and understand the four-year investment they will make in their education.

Additionally, the March 1 deadline for Bachelor of Science in Nursing students has been extended to May 15. UD previously extended the FAFSA priority deadline to Feb. 15.

Based on the most recent federal delays, UD plans to begin sending personalized financial aid offers to students in April.

“We know the federal FAFSA delays have created unique and stressful challenges for students making the important decision about where they will find a sense of belonging to pursue their education,” said Jason Reinoehl, vice president of strategic enrollment management. “Please know that as you receive information from UD, we remain committed to tuition transparency and no hidden fees, so you can be confident knowing what you will pay for all four years of your degree upfront.”

Admitted students and families can contact the Office of Recruitment and Admission at admission@udayton.edu if they have further questions about the May 15 deadline. UD will continue sharing financial aid updates at go.udayton.edu/affordabilty and in students’ Admission Accounts.
