Andrea Zavakos named Sales Education Foundation director
Andrea Zavakos, a UD employee since 2013 and currently a full-time faculty member in the SBA, has been named director of the Sales Education Foundation, a nonprofit sponsored by the University to support sales education across the country.
As director, Zavakos will create a strategic plan to grow the reach and impact of the foundation, working closely with foundation stakeholders and day-to-day leader, Marty Holmes. Zavakos has an extensive professional background in selling programs, sales assessment methods and human resources, as well as academic experience in curriculum development and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The University of Dayton became the primary sponsor of the Sales Education Foundation in 2021.
The foundation was created in 2007 by UD alumni Howard and Sally Stevens. Its mission to “elevate the sales profession through university education” supports institutions of higher learning in providing well-trained and ethical graduates pursuing careers in professional selling. It provides universities with programming, research grants, sales-specific workshops and conferences, and a platform for exchanging ideas and best practices.
More information on the foundation is available salesfoundation.org.
