The American Bar Association (ABA) Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section will honor 1984 University of Dayton School of Law graduate Ronald L. Richman with its Andrew C. Hecker Memorial Award at the ABA meeting Aug. 9, 2014, in Boston.
“I am very honored to receive this award from the Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the ABA. While I am very grateful for being singled out for this award, what I have been able to accomplish in TIPS over the past 20 years is truly the result of a team effort. I am proud to be associated with some of the best trial and appellate lawyers, judges and in-house counsel in the country,” said Richman, senior trial attorney at Bullivant Houser Bailey PC.
The award, which recognizes the late Andrew C. Hecker of Philadelphia, is presented to those lawyers who have consistently demonstrated, and continue to demonstrate, the qualities of leadership, outreach, enthusiasm, professionalism and pride in TIPS and its accomplishments.
“TIPS is a truly wonderful organization and being involved in TIPS has provided me with exceptional CLE courses, training and professional development, on the one hand, and provided with me a most valuable platform to give back to the community, and not just the legal community, on the other hand. My involvement in TIPS is surely one of the great highlights in my career,” said Richman.
One recipient from thousands of members is chosen by the ABA to receive the Andrew C. Hecker Memorial Award a year.
