UPDATE: Cardinal Francis Leo’s visit canceled, UD extends sympathy on father’s passing; IMRI/IPI anniversary events to be adjusted link-arrow link-arrow

The University of Dayton regretfully announces Cardinal Francis Leo cannot be with us on campus Tuesday, Oct. 14, to mark the International Marian Research Institute (IMRI) and the Institute for Pastoral Initiatives (IPI) anniversaries. Cardinal Leo, a two-time UD graduate, canceled his visit because of the passing of his father. The University extends its deepest sympathy to Cardinal Leo and his family during this difficult time and holds them in its prayers.

UD, other universities partner with local health systems to launch mental health program for college students link-arrow link-arrow

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration for the region, Dayton’s leading health systems and universities have joined forces to tackle the rising mental health challenges facing young adults. On Friday, Oct. 10, which is also World Mental Health Day, they launched a college-age intensive outpatient program, which gives local college students access to stronger mental health support while continuing their studies.

NIH funding UD engineers' mission to better detect pediatric lung nodules link-arrow link-arrow

University of Dayton researchers are helping Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center by developing artificial intelligence to better detect lung nodules in CT scans of children. To date, no pediatric-specific systems have been developed or tested.
