Building a Place for All: The Work of Solidarity

Join us as we remember and celebrate the life, the dream, and the actions for justice of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  The Center for Social Concern has partnered with the Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center to get the campus involved in the march and rally, the Martin Luther King Social Justice Plunge, and series of other events surrounding Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. See below for more information concerning MLK events. Check back here in upcoming weeks for a printable event listing.

MLK City of Dayton March
Monday, January 20, 9:00AM, meet in the Adele Center

Students will meet in Adele Center for breakfast and work on posters to use during the march. Transportation will be provided from UD to downtown Dayton to allow students to participate in the march. Participants will then attend the closing ceremony for the MLK March.

Table of Plenty Lunch and Discussion
Thursday, January 23, 12:30-1:45pm, Torch Lounge

Join us for our Table of Plenty celebrating Martin Luther King Week. The Table of Plenty is a monthly opportunity for open lunchtime discussion on a complex social justice topic. We hope to have people join us with a broad spectrum of opinions to join us for respectful conversation where all sides are heard. Free lunch provided. PATH eligible. RSVP by Wednesday, January 15 at noon.
