Anniversary Events

2018 marks the 75th anniversary of the Marian Library. Please join us for events such as concerts and exhibits beginning in January 2018 and continuing throughout the year. Check this page regularly for event updates. 


Marian Consort

October 18, 2018

5:30 p.m. Reception for ticket holders in Kennedy Union's Torch Lounge 
7 p.m. Concert begins in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception

Taking its name from the Blessed Virgin Mary, The Marian Consort is a young, dynamic and internationally-renowned early music vocal ensemble, recognized for its freshness of approach and innovative presentation of a broad range of repertoire.

The event is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available through the Kennedy Union box office and can be picked up in person or reserved by phone at 937-229-2545. The box office is open 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturdays.

Attendees may park in lots B or P for this event without a pass (see the map below for directions).


Jan. 25, 2018

7 p.m. Concert begins in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception

The vocal ensemble Eya performs medieval music interpreted for women’s voices. The program for this special evening will be inspired by the long tradition of composing music for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Co-presented by the Marian Library and ArtsLIVE, the program will take its inspiration from the liturgical calendar and will include musical compositions found in the Marian Library collections. Opening performances will include the Chaminade Julienne High School Concert Choir and the University of Dayton Early Music Ensemble.

The event is free, but tickets are required. For tickets, contact the Kennedy Union box office at 937-229-2545 or visit the box office anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday while the University is in session.

Attendees may park without a parking pass in B and P Lots, which are located near the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. See the map below.

This exhibit will feature examples and highlights from the many collections in the Marian Library.



If you are visiting Monday through Friday, a parking pass is required. For a free parking pass, drive through the main campus entrance on Stewart Street just east of Brown Street and follow the signs to visitor parking. Stop at the visitor center, and an attendant will issue a parking pass.

On weekends, visitors may park without a pass in any single letter lot; B Lot is closest to Roesch Library; B and P Lots are closest to the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
