Dancin' the night away
In celebration of International Education Week, the UD community came together for the 2023 International Festival Friday, Nov. 10. Dozens of international students were able to display their cultural traditions and global experiences through performances, a fashion show, cultural booths and an assortment of games from around the world.
Performances took place in the Kennedy Union Boll Theater, followed by a cultural expo in the in the KU Ballroom.
University of Dayton celebrates International Education Week as an opportunity to exhibit the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The initiative is part of efforts to prepare students for a global environment by studying, learning and exchanging experiences.
International Education Week celebrates and explores global and intercultural learning through education abroad and away, virtual exchange, and opportunities to learn about cultures represented here at UD.
"The International Student and Scholar Services office organized a vibrant event with mesmerizing performances reflecting global traditions," said Mahima Chandak, a computer science graduate student from Hyderabad, India. "It was a delightful celebration of cultural diversity and unity."
