Love of learning
Junior Emily Jones sits with her young students in the Voyager classroom for 3- to 5-year-olds at the Bombeck Family Learning Center on campus. Her lesson for the day will help her gauge their interests and how these result in learning outcomes, a project she prepared for her teacher education course. Each year, approximately 165 education students receive lab experiences in Bombeck Center classrooms.
The Bombeck Center was one of more than a dozen sites around campus designated as Dean’s Showcases during the Stander Symposium, UD’s annual campuswide event highlighting academic and artistic excellence. The showcases featured innovative developments, programs and research happening in each of the academic units and the University Libraries.
