Director Stanley Kubrick once said, “The best education in film is to make one.” Students in Professor Greg Kennedy’s documentary filmmaking class are doing exactly that — learning through making.
As seniors, it is time for them to put all their learnings into practice under Kennedy's guidance, which helps them gain more hands-on experience. Throughout the year, they'll be making a documentary which involves pre-production, production and post-production. In this week's class, students experimented with lighting and framing of the picture, followed by a discussion about their script and the locations they are considering for filming.
