We take it all for granted. The blue sky gets overcast. Grey clouds appear. Natural daylight is blocked. Then just like magic, drops of water descend from the sky, filling every rut, gutter and buttercup. Some things deal with the falling water better than others. Flowers especially like the rain. Students, not so much. Recently, a barrage was documented from the sixth floor of Fitz Hall, as it drifted into Dayton from the west. In the end, the blue sky returned, the tulips stood up, and the stars and stripes flapped smartly in the air.
