Stander celebration

Stander celebration

Larry Burgess April 21, 2022

This year, nearly 900 students put on display their research and scholarship during the annual University of Dayton Stander Symposium. Named in honor of Brother Joseph W. Stander, S.M., the day is a time when the campus takes a break from undergraduate classes and celebrates the wide range of projects undergraduate and graduate students have completed under the mentorship of faculty.

Graduate students in the clean and renewable energy master's program presented a plan to equip houses in Afghanistan with solar power to run their homes and crypto-currency mining servers.  A musician shared the process by which she recorded her first album. A senior criminal justice major presented on how agencies could better assist victims of human trafficking. All project abstracts can be viewed on eCommons.
