Keep getting your steps in every day

Most people who aren’t athletic only take about 2,000 steps each day. Experts say to gain the health benefits of walking, a person needs about 5x that number — at least 10,000 steps daily. A 2021 study explained, through normal activities like housework and grocery shopping, one could add another 5,000 steps to the basic 2,000. With a total 7,000 steps a day, one is well on the road to better health.
