The Central Mall area of campus is constantly abuzz with activity. You may walk through it on your way to Kennedy Union, meet friends, rest on a bench, or listen to the fountain. The Central Mall is also a main hub for celebrations and raising consciousness. Recently business fraternities gathered for a pie in the face competition. Three dollars bought a whipped cream pie to put in the face of a participant, all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Flyer Farmers Market has made a home here as well, with vendors offering items such as fruits, vegetables, and bike repair. Other booths were occupied by a spice merchant and a jeweler. Campus groups were also on site. The Brook Center, Rudy on the Farm, UD Bookstore, and Mission of Mary Cooperative all had a presence at the Flyer Farmers Market. It is held every Wednesday through spring semester.
