Today at the dance studio in Fitz Hall, movement class students have a complex subjective assignment. They form groups. Then a set of physical movements are produced to express what a given poem inspired in them. Some students begin to move one at a time, others in unison like a clock’s gears as one of them reads the poem aloud. These movements are leaps, spins, turns, and even soaring with arms extended like wings. But basically, it’s all dance.
