Clues to the passing of time
Nature shows us clues of its work every day. Temperature is most noticeable now. Some nights seem cool so that we want to sleep with a quilt — a quilt like the one seen in the main hallway of Hathcock Hall. Grass mowing should stop after the first frost. A side yard on Stonemill Street was cut recently. Orange is a popular fall hue in fashion and is seen around campus in beverages and pumpkins. Are the leaves changing from green to gold right before our eyes? And, of course we have time for football on Central Mall.
