Cap and gown

Cap and gown

Thomas M. Columbus May 08, 2020

Madison Johnson ’20 had, like other seniors, her cap and gown and no graduation to which to wear it. No reason not to have grad pictures. So her photographer/barista/drummer friend Blake Tidrow and she came to campus and shot some.

Johnson, an environmental biology major, plans to go to graduate school, she said, after “a gap year (or couple of years, who knows).” She plans after graduation to work with AmeriCorps on “environmental restoration, monitoring, public outreach and education.”

Although she admitted the circumstances under which her senior year ended have been hard, she said, “I still feel such a strong sense community among my UD family no matter the distance between us, and I know I’ll be back in the future. I’m proud to be in the Class of 2020 and a Flyer!”
