Jess Kerr ’16 has a knack for innovation. A winner of UD’s 2016 business plan competition with a home monitor for those with chronic lung disease, Kerr’s newest venture supports women recuperating from childbirth. Her company, postwell, sends boxes of essentials to new mothers to cater to their comfort and wellness needs. “Childbirth is a mother,” says Kerr in the company’s tagline. She said she wants the box to be a catalyst for expectant mothers to have honest conversations about the care they need and deserve.
